This global ATL campaign for Philips Healthcare was shot inside a fully operational Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Manipal University Hospital in Karnataka, India. The unit cared for 40 premature babies, born between 24 and 29 weeks, under the expertise of six dedicated medical teams. The mothers, many from rural communities surrounding Manipal, remained close throughout their babies’ care journey.

Working solo for three days and nights, I documented the realities of this high-stakes environment using only available light — preserving the intimacy, sensitivity, and raw emotion of the NICU.

In collaboration with Ogilvy India’s production unit, I shot this campaign with support from my assistant, alongside local NICU staff and doctors. All footage and photography were captured with the full consent and trust of the participating families — a rare privilege and responsibility.
