Shot around the shabeens of Gugulethu and further afield — pool tables, corner stores, borrowed poses in front of beer adverts. The line between documentary and fashion blurs fast when the street itself is better dressed than anything a stylist could bring.

Always be conscious of where you are, respect that environment and invite your subject to join you on a short adventure together. Most of this series happened because someone let me into their evening, not because I set up a shoot.
