These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website hanlans.com (the “Site”), including all content, portfolio archives, print purchasing services, account portals, and correspondence with Han Lans Photography (“we,” “us,” or “the Studio”).

By accessing the Site, registering an account, inquiring about commissions, or acquiring fine art prints, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not accept these Terms, please refrain from using this Site.

All photographic works, contact sheets, silver gelatin plates, monographs, exhibition texts, digital imagery, visual assets, graphics, and website architecture are the exclusive intellectual property of Han Lans and are protected under international copyright treaties (including the Berne Convention) and applicable national copyright jurisdictions.

No image or text on this Site may be copied, reproduced, republished, modified, downloaded, screen-grabbed, distributed, broadcast, or utilized in any manner—including digital reproduction, editorial compilation, or training of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning models—without express prior written licensing authorization from Han Lans.

Critical Notice on Copyright: The purchase of a physical fine art print, limited edition plate, or monograph grants the purchaser ownership of the physical object only, for private, non-commercial exhibition and enjoyment.

• No Transfer of Rights: Ownership of a physical print does not transfer any copyright, licensing, commercial merchandising, or reproduction rights to the buyer.
• Prohibition of Reproduction: You may not photograph for reproduction, scan, replicate, digitally redistribute, or produce derivatives of any acquired print.
• Commercial & Public Display: Public museum loans, institutional retrospectives, or commercial broadcast appearances of prints require prior written consultation with the Studio.

Every print produced through the Shop is crafted in adherence to museum archival conservation standards:

• Materials & Process: Prints are hand-produced using high-concentration carbon pigment inks on 100% cotton rag archival paper (Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm or equivalent silver halide media specified in folio descriptions).
• Certificates of Authenticity: Limited edition releases include a Certificate of Authenticity containing the edition serial number, catalog plate identification, dimensions, and artist signature / estate blind stamp.
• Tonal and Screen Variations: Calibrated digital representations on your monitor are designed to simulate physical prints as closely as possible. However, slight natural nuances in tone, paper texture, and warmth are intrinsic to artisanal carbon printing and do not constitute defects.

All prices displayed in the Shop are denominated in US Dollars (USD) unless explicitly indicated otherwise. Prices exclude applicable local taxes, import tariffs, and destination shipping charges, which are calculated and confirmed at checkout.

Payments are securely processed through Stripe. Han Lans Photography does not receive or retain payment card account numbers. Order submission represents an offer to purchase; we reserve the right to decline or cancel orders in cases of demonstrable typographical pricing errors, suspected fraudulent transactions, or unauthorized commercial bulk acquisition.

To ensure optimal conservation, each print is produced, inspected, and cataloged upon confirmed order:

• Production Time: Please allow 5 to 10 business days for artisanal printing, drying, inspection, and catalog stamping prior to dispatch.
• Packaging: Unframed prints are rolled with acid-free glassine paper into heavy-walled reinforced archival tubes. Framed works are housed in custom timber crates with edge-protection reinforcement.
• Customs, Tariffs & Taxes: For international orders shipped outside the studio dispatch jurisdiction, any import customs duties, value-added taxes (VAT), or clearance fees levied by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the recipient.

Made-to-Order Sales Policy: Because fine art prints and custom-framed editions are bespoke creations prepared individually for each collector, all sales are final. We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for change of mind.

Transit Damage Protocol: We take extraordinary precautions when packing our work. In the rare event that your parcel arrives damaged in transit:

• You must notify the Studio at info@hanlans.com within 72 hours of parcel delivery.
• Provide photographs showing the damaged outer shipping container, the shipping label, and the condition of the print.
• Upon verification by our shipping carrier, we will promptly reprint and dispatch a replacement copy at no additional expense to you.

Inquiries submitted via the Inquiries portal (/contact) for editorial documentation, portrait sessions, or commercial campaign production are governed by customized commission proposals and bilateral production contracts.

No assignment is officially scheduled or confirmed until a formal production agreement has been executed by both parties and the initial booking retainer deposit has cleared.

Works presented through the Presenting showcase and affiliated links to worldcreatives.com feature emerging photographers curated or represented by Han Lans.

Copyright in the work of represented artists remains with each respective creator. Representation inquiries, print requests, and licensing discussions for featured talent are mediated under applicable curatorial representation agreements.

If you create an account to monitor print acquisitions, orders, or collector folios, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your authentication credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security compromise regarding your account.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Han Lans Photography shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Site or the inability to access or acquire prints.

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction of the Studio’s primary seat of operations.
